  • Schedule Change at San Jose for this weekend

    Due to a Lvl 1 Seminar we will be having on Saturday: 7am session (indoors), a 7am open gym in the Oly Room, and an 8am, 9am (outdoors) class.

    Sunday: No Open Gym

    * Sorry for any inconvenience. If you would like to attend a later indoor class on Saturday, please feel free to head on down the road 10min to our Santa Clara location.

Gym you coach at the most?

Redwood City! I'm down in San Jose on Wednesday eve's and Saturday morning coaching the NorCal Comp Club, too.

In 10 words or less, what is the best part of your job?

Seeing a member accomplish more than they thought they could!

Running or Lifting?

Running? What's that? (Used to run all the time but my knees couldn't take it). It's all about the barbell now!

Shirt on or off while working out?

On, please. My Scottish/Irish skin whiteness (bordering on blue!) would blind the members. Plus all the guys with bald chests would be jealous of what a real man's chest looks like.

Paleo/Zone/Primal or none of the above?

Quality food, with an occasional cheat. Ok, more than occasional....

SISU? (do you lie down after a workout?)

If I lie down because I pass out, does that qualify as non-SISU? Usually non-SISU....

Do you have any hobbies outside of CrossFit? Is so, what?

Love traveling with my family!
