Tomorrow kicks off our first annual Summer Wrap-Up Challenge! Have you signed up yet? You have until 5:00 pm tonight to join the fun…
It will be a great way to build NorCal camaraderie, have accountability to push ourselves to strengthen our mental game, build our fitness, and keep our nutrition on point. Get to know the members of your community better, while challenging yourself in the process. At the end of the 5 weeks, we’ll come together and celebrate all the hard work and dedication put in as a team and have fun with your NorCal family.
Here are some more details for you to know as we go into the weekend and our kick-off challenge for the 5 weeks.
* Each Monday for the next 5 weeks, there will be a challenge announced. Your team will have until the following Sunday to compete the challenge 6 of your 8 team members must be present each week when the challenge is completed. You will be awarded bonus points for having all of your team present for the challenge.
* Each week’s challenge will be designated points for completion; your reps will be determined based on reps, pounds, time, etc. The rep designation will be made clear at the start of each week when the challenge is announced. Your team will have a coach, who will be your team captain. At the end of each week, you will report your score to your team captain, who will track your team’s points for all 5 weeks.
* In addition to the weekly challenges, there will be an ongoing nutrition challenge for points. Points will be removed from your total each week if certain things are eaten over the course of the 5 weeks. You choose your level as an individual and stick to it for the entire 5 weeks. Your points go towards your team’s total. Level and point breakdown is as follows:
Weekend Warrior - No sugar (includes honey etc) and No alcohol.
Lets do this! - No sugar, No alcohol, No gluten.
Go So Hard! - No sugar, No alcohol, No gluten, No grain.
So Paleo right now! - No sugar, No alcohol, No gluten, No grain and No dairy.
-2 points for any item eaten off the list for your chosen level.
Report your subtractions at the end of each week to your team captain.
+10 points if you achieve your goal for the week.
+50 points at the end of the 5 weeks if you meet your goal every week.
Teams will be posted Friday night! But the first workout is done individually. Come in, push yourself, and get this Challenge off to a great start!
WORKOUT FOR FRIDAY
First minute hold 45sec wall facing handstand hold
second minute perform 5 muscle ups
third minute perform 10 burpees
repeat 3 rounds
