Then and Now!

 

Why did you join the club?

  • I wanted a little extra something to add on to daily WODs, and I didn’t know where to start. Comp club offered personalized “homework” addressing the individual’s weaknesses.

What changes have you seen since starting the Club?

  • Well, overall, I’m less afraid. Whether that’s to go heavier, push myself a little harder, or just doing a movement I used to stink at. I’ve gotten more comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable for the duration of a workout, I’m continuing to find new PR’s, and my jeans don’t fit anymore (I’m cool with that).

What do you look forward to the most?

  • Mickey’s nagging… Haha … Kidding.  I look forward to Comp club sessions knowing that I’ll probably think, Mickey can’t be serious about that crazy-sounding workout, but then feeling awesome for doing it afterwards.  They’re typically suck-it-up-and-deal-with-it/makes-my-soul-cry type of workouts.  I’m equally excited about just skill work days, ‘cause we all need more of those.
