I was having a pretty hectic week, things were starting to feel overwhelming, training wasn’t going how I had hoped, and I was getting pretty down; then, I saw this video and I had a serious change in perspective.

The metaphor here for the 86,400 seconds in a day being just like having $86,400 to spend with no rollover is a really though provoking one.

If you had that much money to use in a day, and at the end of the day any leftover disappears, you would try to use it right?

Well, why should we treat our valuable seconds any differently? Look back on a recent day; how much of that day did you actually use to the fullest? I know when I took a moment to do this, I could think of wasted seconds, minutes, even hours… and that is a lot of waste if you think about. In reality, our time is priceless, even more valuable than money, so it’s time we took responsibility for spending it wisely.

Whether you are with the ones you love, at work, spending quality time along, or hitting a workout at the gym (like 14.4 for example), try to spend each second as the priceless time that it is. I know I am going to after watching this video.

Get ready for 14.4, everyone! Give it your all, and more importantly, enjoy each second of this day!
