Sunday Sept 7th at 1:05pm A's baseball game "CrossFit Day" at the stadium.
Tickets $22
WOD before the game that we get to watch including Neal Maddox, Wes Piatt, Gabe Subry, Margaux Alvarez, Chyna Cho, Ben Alderman, and our own Miranda Oldroyd, and Camille Leblanc. The wod will start at 10am.
If our gym has one of top 20 most people attending, we get to pick a person to compete in the wod with them.
Redwood City and Mtn View already have over 40 people signed up amongst the two gyms.
Money must be collected by noon THIS FRIDAY.

While today’s focus at the gym will be those heavy jerks, it is also important that we don’t forget about the skills that go into running. Today you’ll finish with 3 x 400-meter runs.

It is important not to just think of this as a “rest” period between the shoulder to overhead reps. Running is a skill just like any Olympic lifting is a skill. We need to continue to develop this skill, work on drills, practice, and push ourselves.

Two weekends ago, all of your coaches got together to learn some new drills and teaching techniques to help you guys become better in your running. We are so fortunate to be able to learn from Chris Hinshaw. He has so much experience in running, and he is a really amazing coach. We are always looking to improve as coaches and to become proficient in helping you guys improve in every skill that might come up in CrossFit, and that includes RUNNING!

So take those 400-meter runs seriously today, guys. Listen to your coach when he or she goes over some drills for the run, and push yourselves to get better, even if running might not be your favorite skill we do in CrossFit.
