Running is just another skill...
With that being said, we could all do with some more focus on running as a skill. Running gets pushed to the corner a little because well, we can all do it right? I mean, you just run. It's not the same with barbell movements or gymnastics movements, those are taught when you walk in the door. We don't ask people if they have run before, we just tell them to RUN! Deep down we all want more from our running sessions, but because running doesn't play a large portion in CrossFit, the time spent on it reflects that.
Lets change that! Here at NorCal we have the BEST running coach (probably in the world!), Chris Hinshaw. He is going to be spending time with all our coaches this year to help them understand more about running and why running technique is just as important as any other movement. We want all of you to enjoy running as much as you love snatching or deadlifting or pullups if you don't already!
WORKOUT FOR THURSDAY
Whatever is left of 4min perform as many Double Unders as possible
Whatever is left of 4min perform as many OH Plate walking lunges as possible
Whatever is left of 4min perform as many Snatches (135/95lbs) as possible
Run 400m as fast as possible
