Registration for the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games Open will be available here, starting January 30th, 2013.

The 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games season is a three-stage test of fitness, comprised of the Open, Regionals, and the world championships, the CrossFit Games.

The season kicks off with the Open, the most inclusive competition in the world. The top athletes and teams in each region from the Open will move onto Regionals. The best athletes and teams at Regionals will compete at the CrossFit Games, the world’s premier test to find the Fittest on Earth™.

Last year many of you signed up. Many more of you wished you had signed up. I assure you one thing about registering for the Open.

You will 100% push yourself past where you ever thought was imaginable.

Placing high enough to go to Regionals or the Games is realistic for a very very small percentage of people. Ultimately it really doesn't matter. Getting better by pushing yourself through workouts as a group is what its all about! Compare yourself to the rest of the world, set yourself goals, enjoy the experience! Give it a shot.

Workout for Tuesday:

Every minute on the minute for 10 minutes perform 3 muscle ups. If you can not perform a muscle up, please work with your coach on a scale for 2 reps. Then perform 3 burpee pull ups after your two reps of skill. You should have plenty of time.

As many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of:

4 deadlifts @ 225#/135#
6 Pull Ups
8 V Up's (kinda funky but fun to throw in every now and then, keep them legit and they get very challenging)

Seconding what Jason said, I encourage you to sign up for the open. I did this for the first time 2 years ago after only a few months of crossfit. As Jason said, you really can be surprised to find out what you are able to do. There were several movements that I couldn't do when the Open began that I managed to at least get in a few good reps as part of the Open. For me this glimpse of what I could potentially do really motivated me to want to work harder to get better. Also having someone watch my movements and sometimes give me the "no rep" call really helped make me much more aware of standards and where I was falling short, which I found to be very valuable. Most of all it's a really fun and supportive environment when we all get together to do these workouts.
